President Zelensky, it is probably not right to have your compatriots killed and your country destroyed in order not to remain neutral, as established in 1991 with the proclamation of Independence of Ukraine, in order not to remain demilitarized, as established in 2014 in the Minsk Treaty and not to respect the autonomy of the southern regions with the civil war.
For the same reasons, it is no longer fair to think of joining the EU immediately with a derogation, involving its states in the defense of Ukraine, even without being a NATO member (Estonia has taken 8 years and Turkey has been requesting it for 20) or even the "no fly zone" that would lead to a probably atomic world war
